After having a slight respite from my morning activities on Sugar Loaf Mtn. (the cable ride up was soooo smooth) and high with the Redeemer (no one ever refers to the statue as the Giant Christ!), my guide took me to one of the better Churrasco restaurants in town, the Palace – the picture is of famous people in Rio’s history. This is one of those places where they are continually bringing you by various grilled meats, not just beef but ostrich and little chicken hearts!

Then on to Samba show (which much like the Tango show, was about the history of Rio, but much more flesh, and not quite as tasteful).
This morning, another perfect day. Going for a run/walk along beach walk -to Ipanema
