Spring in Shanghai is beautiful – and in this biggest city of China, our local guide has taught the group to say in unison “IN THE WORLD” after many of the statements such as most Starbucks, most high rises, most billionaires, etc. while the Shanghai tower is Not the tallest “in the world” – the tower in Dubai is the tallest – the observation deck on which I took this last picture is the tallest, and the toilets are the highest IN THE WORLD!!
We are staying at the Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund (right on the River), and on a 3 mile shopping street, which was full of the highest of high-end shops and of happy, beautiful Chinese, and only a few foreigners. Again, it was spotlessly clean. The nighttime skyline is amazing, as all of these tall buildings are lit up and in different colors. We ate at a wonderful restaurant on the Bund,
and are going to see an acrobatic show tonight after we practice being lounge lizards.
I did not go to breakfast, because I had to finish my 3rd birthday cake

So, to say the least, I’m bullish on Shanghai!!
