Rio is 4 hours ahead of SA, and I’ve just gotten to my hotel on Copacabana Beach – my room looks like the online website for this hotel, and the views from my room are beautiful and inviting. Unlike Ingo (whose English was almost as bad as his manners) and the absolute crowd of tourists at Iguazu (at times, it reminded me of the lines at Sea World, with all of the fussy children), and the unwelcoming staff at my hotel in Iguazu, my Rio guide, Wilson, is charming and effusive and very helpful.
So I’m putting on my shorts and off to explore. More later after dinner.
