This could hold up to 40,000 men. I guess the women stayed home. After the reconquest, about 1/2 acre of the 7 acres or so was converted to the cathedral, and the minaret was changed to a bell tower.


As we moved between cities, we saw these “billboards”. While all others were banned these were kept as national monuments after a national outcry.

The weather and blossoming orange trees continued to be perfect.

And we were on to Madrid by high speed train to finish our week in Spain.
